Cycling Club

Founded in 2002 the club has evolved from a small group of friends riding and racing; and are now an AB- sanctioned club that is well-known within the community and provincial cycling scene.

About our Cycling Club

The club was founded in 2002 and has evolved from "The United Cycle Grassroots Cycling Club" to "United Cycle" and now to "United Sport & Cycle". We began as a small group of friends riding and racing; and are now an AB- sanctioned club that is well-known within the community and provincial cycling scene.

Today we represent all disciplines of cycling including: mountain, road, cross, granfondos, fatbiking, commuting, and racing. Whether we are suffering hard on the indoor trainer, stretching it out in yoga, exploring a new trail, orhanging out at the local cafe, our mission is to create a memorable cycling experience for our members.

We welcome you to participate in rides and club events! Our members range in age from early 20's through to later 60's. With so much diversity, you will be sure to find a friend or two in the club. We have competitive racers, and those who just like to ride. We encourage all enthusiasts to improve their skills and fitness by participating in training rides and races. Our club has proven over the years our dedication to the cycling community by hosting and volunteering at numerous races and events.

We value rider safety. To ensure safe club rides we provide training/orientation to new members so you can feel safe on the road and in a group. We have dedicated ride leaders and lots of experienced riders in the club. Did I mention, we start and finish together (a.k.a. no drop rides)?

Whether you are looking to ride with a great group of people, or to race/train with the best, United Sport & Cycle is the place for you! We are always looking for volunteers and fresh ideas.

See below for details about how to join, when we ride, and contact information!
